myblackeyedfire: (Freddy Mercury faun)

It is my eventual goal to go in costume, whether to a masquerade ball or an appropriate soiree, dressed as Freddie Mercury from the Queen video "I Want to Break Free" costumed as the Faun from Nijinsky's ballet. Oh, yes.

In the Ziegfeld Follies men's lounge, if a gentleman says, "Hey, fellows, if you think this is exciting, you should see that new Stravinsky ballet, with those superhuman leaps by Nijinsky!" You know he's... That way.

Do you have a good-quality recording of Mr. Coward singing that? Because I haven't been able to find an mp3 of it for the life of me.

In return, I offer you what I quoted above:

That Way.

If you can find me a digital version of him singing Mad About the Boy, I'll throw in Mick Jagger's a capella blues ditty about making forbidden love with London policemen.

Sadly, this recording is not in my possession, nor was I able to find it online. I admit to feeling somewhat contrite for not having the songs you mentioned in exchange for that delightful tune. I can only share a few songs I found via a Jeeves & Wooster LJ community fanmix:
Nat Shilkret - Can't Help Lovin' (
I'm Old Fashioned (
The Stately Homes of England (
You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To (

Well! Now I'll be on the lookout for Noel Coward's rendition of that song -and- Mick Jagger's strangely compelling ditty.
